Years ago, this area was called the “Outside Lands” of San Francisco -- far from the city, close to the sea.  Sand Dunes.  Then development.  Years of drought and cultural differences in neighborhood priorities led to many residents filling in yards with concrete, until the Sunset District became one of San Francisco’s most heavily concreted areas.
There used to be more green out here -- let’s bring back life by breaking up the sterile concrete streets!
